Help on 1665 DRSD
Hi, would appreciate some opinion on this piece.
Seller says this is a Mk2 DRSD. However, it looks like a Mk1 dial to me. But it is a 3.2m series and a Rolex patent case which is Mk2 era. Anyone come across this combination or I have made a mistake with the dial? Thank you for your expert opinions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes, it appears closer to an MKI, but there are a couple of things that bug me about it and the serial number range would be off. (It's definitely not an MKII).
I also don't like the case. I've never seen a DRSD with a case like that. Just look at the crown guards. It looks close to an NOS case, which would be questionable. You'd need to do more research, but I'd tread carefully, and go here www.drsd.com. |

Engravings please both ends - we've just outed a1665 white on the Vintage Rolex Forum, that had a fresh as a daisy case too - the engravings on that GW case were very poor
and easy to see it was a fake.

Something seems to be not right with that case. I would personally avoid it. The crownguards stands out to me in a bad way.

Another case too good to be true.
580 slotted end links are a first for me, but what do I know... |

Granted photo is poor so a bit tricky to be 100%, but also the Coronet looks wider and E in ROLEX looks different than a MK1.

Yes, now that you have mentioned, the L looks off also. Another picture was just posted of this watch. This watch is a total nightmare, nothing matches to each other
