Marlon Brando Gmt 1675
Looks odd without the bezel but I guess he removed during filming of Apocalypse Now ,cool story & looks to be in great condition.

I wonder how prepped this watch is to look like Brando in Apocalypse now. I would guess that it had a bezel and a bracelet after they completed the movie.
I’m sure it will sell strong but I doubt we will see a crazy price like with PN PN. |

The case looks to be unpolished, but is the dial correct for the period though?
I blame it on autoconnect. |

You need to watch the movie again. "The horror" has nothing to do with the missing bezel.

I know nothing compared to most of you guys, but isn't the dial in amazing shape? Looks like it has aged very evenly on the plots. Right, really nice looking dial?

I wonder if those marks at the seven are where the bezel was popped off by perhaps Brando himself? Cool bloody watch.

Wherever it was filmed, it's overrated, imo. I saw it when it was released, and endured parts of it once or twice since. Sheen and Hopper were the best performers.
As for the watch - the DIY engraving on the back is cool. I agree the bezel's been popped off and snapped on quite a few times since the filming (he'd fit right in here), and probably been 'lost' again for dramatic ($) effect in the auction.

So who here would keep the bezel off if they bought this one and who would make the watch whole?

And Brando didn't do a good job as Kurtz??? I couldn't imagine anyone doing a better job. The monologue was perfect imo.
