Rolex pres stopped won't start
Had this watch serviced about a year ago by authorized repairman
Haven't used more than five times (used to wear every day). The watch ran down (and no I didn't wind or use a winder) The last time it wound down and would not restart. I wound the 40 times and purchased a winder but no luck. M A local jeweler said. I needed to keep wound because the oil will gel up etc I will take to jeweler (to send back to repairman) Is there anything I am not doing I should try? The watch was purchased new around 2000 (presidential) and has worked flawlessly for many years Thanks for any input |

That should not have happened after only one year. Rolex watches use very sophisticated lubricants that do not "gel up" if the watch sits idle.
If the service was truly done by an authorized repairman (which sounds doubtful) it will have a two year warranty, so you should be covered. If not, I suggest you find a better place to get your watch serviced...
