Got about twenty minutes into it tonight and it didn’t get any better. Then my wife came home so I shut it after and we watched ‘Better Call Saul’ which is a much much much better show.

This new Magnum PI sucks balls. I think the only believable character in the entire show is the Asian homicide cop. Maybe they should make the show about him.

Actually, Weezer were hesitant to record the cover. This was a fan request that exploded on social media. Toto has covered a Weezer song in response.

14 more Bonds later and this old guy who grew up watching Connery originally playing Bond, I will still think of Connery being the original Bond. I can't tell you how many times I've watched the Connery Bond movies. All the rest and that includes Daniel Craig it's been but just a few times. But6 then again I still watch John Wayne movies.

The Toto cover was done very well by Weezer.

I have to disagree. It's too close to the original. If you are going to cover a hit song, you should be able to make it your own.

Joe Cocker and With a Little Help From My Friends is one of the best examples of this in my opinion.

Agreed. Also, "You Really Got Me" by the Kinks, covered by Van Halen.

Not the drums. I usually like Pat Wilson's (Weezer's drummer) playing, but he really screwed this song up. In addition, Jeff Porcaro (Toto's drummer, RIP) was one of the greats, so it's hard to be better, but at least Pat could have tried to play the same instead of dumbing it down.

On a positive note, Weezer doing the cover introduced a new/younger fan base to Toto's music, which I think is a win.

Entertainment is like history as well. Recently watching How The West Was Won, I remarked that there were people alive during the late 1800s - early 1900s who might have been set consultants in 1963. It looked authentic. Mid-1940s London in David Lean's movies also comes to mind.

Purple Noon (Tom Ripley) gave me a decent idea of 1960 Italy. Bet that Italy is not coming back any day soon.

I just watched it. Not bad if you take it independently from the original.
