GS Blue Snowflake? Thoughts and pix?

Having a mental flirtation with this watch since it is so different from anything that I have. What are the thoughts about this watch by my esteemed colleagues?

Tried one on recently at GS in London. Amazing reference that wore smaller than the numbers would suggest. The blue was sensational - far more special in my opinion than the Snowflake. It's on my list for the next time I'm in Japan...

What's there to think about?!

If you strap on half of those new Seiko 5's, then this is a no brainer if you're flirting!!

I’d like to trade in a couple of things towards it. I have a preferred, out of state AD who is very nice to me in this regard. May wait out the pandemic to make my move.

I’ve tried on a white Snowflake, have never seen the blue in person.

It’s not hard to talk me into buying a watch, as many have noticed.

Still looking for my first Grand Seiko.

That's funny, I've been in love with it and am currently negotiating with an out of state AD as we speak!

I think that what I am looking at is known as the Skyflake. I guess the Sky is blue, snow is white.

Had an opportunity to see this on someone else’s wrist and am infatuated. The price point, dimensions and that blue dial make for a very interesting combo.

I’m not crazy about the PR indicator but it’s not a showstopper as well.

I don’t understand why the GS straps have one side extra long such that the strap end is nearly touching the bezel on the other side. SJX review also stated the same. If anyone has any inputs to share would appreciate it.

It is one of the watches I will be considering if I were to buy another watch. Watchbox currently has one in stock for SGD7,500.

May I inquire about your wrist size?

The watch looks a little big. My wrist is 6.5 inches, hope it would fit me. I believe the watch is a tad over 40mm.

A little too big, but in a world of giant monstrosities and a 6” wrist, it’s pretty good. 6.5” should be pretty perfect.

I think it would work on me.
Think you will get one? Are they less expensive in Japan?

It is amazing. I love mine, but I have yet to see a photo that does it justice in the metal.

Visited the GS store today. SA asked me to put down a 60% deposit and expect delivery in around 10 months. Told me there is a waiting list.

Time to think.

Ive seen the blue flake around for under retail... waiting lists for Seikos are myths. they might sell out, but... please.

the five five eight Kirazuri is a better piece if you like that color.
