Icon14 My Speedy's Off to The Spa Today!!

After 13 years of hard service and abuse my trusted Speedy's off back to Omega today for a full service. Poor old thing is gaining huge amounts of time (following an accident on the squash courts) but it still looks as gorgeous as the day I set eyes on in at the ADs way-back in 1999 (well maybe a bit more bumped and bruised but you get my drift).

Back then I hadn't realised quite how few of these white-faced beauties there were about. I think (but I could be wrong) they were made for the Japanese market (quite how one ended up at Ernest Jones in Croydon, Surrey is beyond me) although other than that, I know little about it.

Lovely watch! And I can see the inspiration for the Omega Triple Date very clearly from this design- thanks for sharing.

Can't see pictures for some reason. Link perhaps broken. Incidentally, where did you send the watch for work? Which service center?

Am ashamed to say I don't know which centre it's being sent to. Dropped it off at the Leslie Davies Omega Boutique in Birmingham. . . They said expect it back in 6-8 weeks. . .
