Gotcha. You have an awesome watch. I miss mine, but I traded over to a 16710 and a 1675; love GMTs. I look forward to a visit to Australia in the coming year as my company opens a location in Sydney.

Sounds like it's been screwed blued and tattooed.

If you are in Sydney or Melbourne, bring it to the Rolex Service Centre. They should be able to fix it on the spot.

pretty sure it was screwed in and took a light tap so it got real tight and locked up slightly, as said before, use some tape on any item that will allow you to grip it tightly and just apply the less is more philosophy and undo it yourself - can't do further harm at this point.

I'd say run it under a stream of very warm water and see what that does.

Mate. Don’t you guys have to turn it clockwise to unscrew in Australia? I have heard everything is whack down under. Like toilet water flushes in reverse circles :)

If it took less than a minute. Forget about it and just enjoy wearing it.
Blatantly an over zealous hand screwed it nice and tight.

Good to hear. I was going to suggest placing the crown in a vice, mega tight, and turn the case anti-clockwise (I think). That would have done the trick. Lol

Turn the crown counterclockwise to unscrew it from the case.
