I love mine as well. I had the 2500 XL which was a great watch but I never liked the curved bracelet. I sold it and got the 8500xl. I loved it as well but it wore too big so exchanged it for the 42.
You'd never think but there are a few differences between the 2 sizes. The XL has a beveled date opening the 42 doesn't. The crystal is more domed on the XL vs the 42. The bezel reflects light differently on the XL. As the light got dim, the bezel on the XL absorbed all light and looked very black whereas the 42 looks gray at all times. Since there are so many great photos I won't add my crummy ones ;)
This is a fantastic watch and my current favorite. I too owned and loved the PO 2500 (still love it, but it's my sons now) but this PO 8500 is at another level completely. No regrets on this one. |
