They have lot of “limited series” and that bothers me. Some of the base models have nice and simple designs. The rest look over the top and I can not see their hands. I would recommend to look at IWC, Panerai, JLC, Omega, and compare them with Hublot you are interested in.

Thats a good point... all of these "complicated" or iced out watches look terrible to me.. skeleton dials cant see shit, or too many gems set on them.. defeats the purpose of me..but somepeople wear for form over function

I bought one of the first SS/ceramic Big Bangs circa 2008 when they were very hard to get. Jean-Claude Biver was CEO then and actually posted on the Timezone forum back then. If you posted up an incoming back then he would send you a personally signed warranty extension, can you imagine the Chairman of Rolex doing that?
Biver is gone now though, they make too many limited editions, and resale stinks...but it is a modern alternative that isn’t afraid to try new things.
I do remember that and it was good PR at the time, but now looking back it all looks a bit desperate, and secondary prices of Hublot and Rolex really reflect that, stand-offish mystery if you can pull it off is def the best strategy.

We'll take the ears of the Patek Nautilus, the Genta case and AP bezel (We can't have octagonal to rip it off fully) and we have a winning formula. This is how a watch enthusiast sees Hublot.

Not a fan of Hublot at all.

Trendy looks with virtually no history

Never a huge fan of Hublot, but if I was at a shop and the deal was amazing I may consider. I probably would not pull the trigger because even if it was say 5k I would think of what better way i can use that 5k. I always felt they were more copycat than anything else. Tons of friends had them and they always came and went, that says a ton.

I don’t care for the designs of Hublot. If you like them, buy one.

I was at the airport in Taipei. A store that carries Hublot was gonna discontinue carrying it. They were discounting 40% off on all watches. I can't imagine them holding value too well......

I disagree with the above quote!

I enjoy my Panerai Zero

I’d pass on the Hublot.

Rolex or bust.
Hublot, no!
AP is a much better alternative hands down.

Very valid point.
I like several in the Big Bang series but many that I don’t quite care for. The ones I did like though, I would never consider at that price point.
