Thanks for all the kudos, guys. For fun, here are a few of the olive dial WG DD40 they brought in for me to try. There was a stick on the crystal out of the coffin (you can see it bubbling around the cyclops in one of the pictures), which dulled the dial somewhat. They said they weren't supposed to peel it, and I didn't press because I pretty much knew I was getting the sub - the olive was cool but didn't really pop on my skin, especially next to my ink there down at my wrist. The markers sure did sparkle when it moved around in the sunlight, though.

It's something else, that's for sure. Coming from a 36mm datejust, I'm just hoping my biceps don't start getting too big.

One thing I was not prepared for - after adoring on the white gold all day, I was perusing some pictures last night and saw some random shot of a hulk and a ridiculous thought popped into my head: boy that metal looks cheap. :

So I got to try that piece on as well, and it was stunning, but could not really sway my attention for very long from the sub. I brought cash with me (seriously, wads), and after some back and forth ended up getting just under 20% off (in part due to avoiding tax by shipping out of state). That and a promise for either a hulk in 2-6 weeks or a white face ceramic Daytona in less than 6 months.
