I like both the old and new style Cellini's.
The new moon phase is spectacular

Cellini Photos

Rolex Cellini goes back to 1928. Here’s a clip from the Rolex website on the history of the Cellini line.

Rolex Cellini

The brand with the crown and its Prince
The luxurious Rolex collection was named after the famous Italian goldsmith and sculptor, Benvenuto Cellini. He was active during the Renaissance and was one of the most important artists of his time.

The inspiration for the Rolex Cellini line came from traditional watchmaking practices, along with aspects of modern technology and aesthetics. The Cellini Rolex Prince harks back to the original Rolex Prince of 1928. The rectangular case of the wristwatch is reminiscent of the avant-garde style of the roaring ‘20s. The extravagant design of the watch is particularly enchanting, while its excellent precision stays true to the well established Rolex standard. The Rolex Prince enjoyed great popularity with worldwide watch enthusiasts well into the late ‘40s. When production of the watch was brought to a halt, the spirit of the Prince lived on, which can be witnessed through lofty prices on the second-hand market.
