Why?
Tiffany dial = tramp stamp.

It’s like the Panerai/GP Ferrari or Breitling Bentley watches. Don’t like co-branded when it comes to timepieces, unless vintage where it was about more than branding and there was a true connection between them, like the Comex Sub.

If you think it’s the same as Panerai/GP Ferrari or Breitling Bentley....

I don't think the watches themselves are equivalent; I just think the co-branding is the same level of stupid. Not nearly as bad as the James Bond edition Omegas; at least Tiffany is a real jeweler and Ferrari and Bentley are real cars, not fictional movie characters.

I personally would not pay a penny more for a tiffany stamped watch. Would probably want a discount. To have the Tiffany brand name slapped on the dial of a Patek watch, diminishes the Patek brand and certainly adversely impacts the dial imho.

But each to their own I suppose.

Yep one of my 1st PP’s was a yellow gold manual ellipse - It had a stamp from Tiffany on it and when I sent it in for service I actually asked for the dial to be changed to one w/o Tiffany stamp.Ha! Didn’t know any better at time. I still though would not pay extra for T stamp. Just mo.

Or after the divorce he decided he didn't want the watch his former in-laws had given him for the wedding two years earlier, remembered that his now-ex used to sell bags on there, so went to sell the watch in the same place hoping to simply get enough to get a new apartment and lease on a BMW 2 Series convertible for a few months.
You have way too much time on your hands.

The real real was sold on June 8, I wonder how many days it was listed.. But it just don't make sense to sell that low, and the seller, how desperate was he to sell it that low as well.. I wonder if this ad was even legit at this point.

Something I'd seem to have in common with, well, pretty much anyone who finds time to post on watch forums during the day...

The fact that a Tiffany stamp on a modern Patek adds this much value is absurd.

I'm going to stamp some Pateks and sell them. 5 of them worldwide. Should fetch $1m each. Who's in?

Also, this is nothing like Bentley or Ferrari co-branded watches. Those are co-branded specially made for the cars / brands. They come that way from the factory.

Tiffany Pateks are stamped after the fact, and they are no different from non-stamped versions.

You can't buy the same Ferrari Hublot without the Ferrari co-branding like you can with a 5711.

I don't think it is the same 5712 since this one is still sealed in it's original packaging, but it does help to get a price idea for a Tiffany signed 5712 and it's not in the mid $50K range which is where the TRR piece sold.

I agree, the whole Tiffany thing seems stupid as imo it spoils the dial.
