That dial looks odd and those hands are most likely aftermarket and the bezel, I would pass but if the deal is really good and your ok with aftermarket parts, I would meet up at your local Jeweler and have them open it up in front of you.

That's what I thought initially as well. However, it's the 12/6/9 markers that are wrong.
The fonts and plate suppliers may have changed over the years, but the indices remained consistent, AFAIK.

Next to OPs dial:

As above, your comparison clearly shows the difference in the indices.

That's a Lemrich plate, but a completely different dial than the OP's. However, it does show the consistency of the indices regardless of dial print/font.

Saying If Rolex changed sapphire watch must all be genuine.
I personally think this is an aftermarket sapphire

hands did not match. Hence not all original

Update

I want to sincerely thank everybody for their input.
I've arranged to bring it to my local Rolex service center.
For $125 they will authenticate it. (or not, lol).
I'm thinking that if it is authentic (for the most part) it is still a decent watch for $6,000. Even if I pay for a good service, polish, and OE bezel insert, it is still a decent price point, no?
It seems as if by the varying opinions,
I probably have an authentic case and bracelet.
I almost certainly have an aftermarket bezel/insert.
I have a potentially aftermarket dial (or an interesting unique original one)
I have either aftermarket or service replacement hands.
I have a "most likely" authentic crystal.

I suppose the jeweler will answer all or most of these questions for me.

If everything but the bezel insert and maybe the hands are authentic, I'm ok with that. It is a very wearable watch, and still 2-3k less than others.

I'll let you all know once the dealer evaluates it, just so you have some reference in the future if you see a similar dial, etc.

Thanks again, you guys are great!
