Thanks. I apologize for the pic quality. I tried uploading nice pictures but the forum kept telling me to compress them as they were to large. So I kept compressing until it was successfully uploaded and the results are these. If anyone has any tips or tricks on how to upload high quality pic it would be much appreciated.

The first type of crime where they exercise that prerogative is if the watch is on the Rolex theft report. The second type is when a watch is counterfeit - in other words, violates the Lanham Act of 1946 15 U.S.C. § 1051.

You get a nice letter from Rolex Legal Dept. explaining what you must do to recover your property from the authorities where the watch is shipped.

In the case of theft, the jurisdiction where the police report of the theft was filed.

In the case of counterfeiting, the FBI Southern District of NY office in Manhattan.

That’s my concern with being hesitant of going there. I’m going to see some watch dealers at the diamond district first today and see what they say.

Did you check the serial number at the rehaut at 6 ? That it matches the warranty card ?
If it matches , great chances that´s genuine , further more , take it to a reputable watchsmtih , he´ll tell you if the mvnt is gen , if it is ... there you are !!
Then go to RSC , only with your warranty card , and ask them if that watch is stolen , if the refuse to say , well at least you had give them a try .
Anyway by now you know it is genuine , and when the time for a service comes , send it here : The Watch Buyers Group , recommended by John B. Holbrook in Luxurytime web page .
They service Rolex and most important , they have a Rolex Account to get Original Parts , and They´ll send your watch back with an Appraisal , proving the authenticity of the time piece .
Hope I helped .

Hey, hey! Don't argue with Internet lore. It must be true, I saw it on the web.

i have a similar 2 Tone Sub. Post #24 is correct about the clasp.

From your photos, everything on the outside looks fine. Having someone look at the movement will provide peace of mind and more data points. But on your own, you put it on time grapher or check out its accuracy, which is easy. If it is within COSC specs over a number of days especially after 13 years, this test should provide even more confidence the movement is genuine.

It is not internet lore.
Having managed an insurance company fraud operation I assure you we report lost or stolen serial numbers to Rolex along with police report number. In the event a stolen or lost watch is sent to them, the watch IS confiscated and returned to us via the authorities.

Clasp and Warranty Card look Fine
If you bought from a ROLEX AD - then you are fully protected.
ROLEX will not confiscate it (if its not stolen), nor will they work on it if they consider any part is aftermarket

Get it checked, but I spoke a few times with Hudson Yard sales people - thats exactly what they are ; sale people;

Wasn’t an AD. Private seller. I took it to a jeweler and he says it’s 100% authentic. Just need to know if it’s hot...

Well I doubt it, but do NOT take it to ROLEX for checking - they will "hold" it if it was.

Personally, I would wear and enjoy
