2006 116234 Datejust Oyster Clasp Question

Does it have a spring? The end of the clasp feels loose, and can flip back and forth on its own. I took a video to highlight this. I'm guessing I'm missing a spring, but maybe this is how they were built in 2006. Anybody know?

Dj 36 3135 movement oyster clasp has no spring.
So it’s correct.

I pretty sure they switched to a version with a spring later on. Can’t remember when it was but older ones have the clasp like yours. The newer ones have a spring.

Just giving this a bump because it was so helpful! No spring in the DJ 36 3135. Who knew! Here’s mine, just picked up in a swap for a newer model with a black face that wasn’t getting worn. I wanted the green lume and the the railroad to match my DDs of the same era. She’s a queen—loving every minute of wrist time!
