TT Skydweller versus Rootbeer

Wondering what the consensus would be on the board. If you had a choice between two tone skydweller (white or black dial) versus the CHNR rootbeer which would you choose any why?

TT root beer. Stunning two tone combination and fits my wrist better. If it’s the RG CHNR then still that vs SkyD for me.

That's a tough one. I went with the SkyD for the annual calendar feature. I'm a big chap and thus can carry the presence of the watch fine. The RG though is attractive.

SkyD by a mile. I don’t like the brown bezel on the GMT.

For me, the skyD. Excellent complication and a good option for business travel if you are doing business in a dressier environment. That said, my LN gmt is outstanding for business travel. very, very under the radar.

I think the CHNR is more versatile and a bit less flashy.

Also depends your wrist size, my wrists are 8 3/4 inch so SkyD wears comfy...

Agreed, i have both and find myself wearing the GMT II LN more frequently on business trips.
Especially when you dress down in evenings or gym it doesn’t stand out so much.

Especially as I switched out the PCL bracelet for a Sub bracelet:

I’d go Sky Dweller. Somehow, the new root beer is just off for me.

By the way, i hd the choice of TT SkyD with White, blck and gold dial and went with white. Most of my watches are with black dial but this one just looks really good with the white dial. It’s an egg-shell white which changes slightly with the light.

Some great insights, I do agree the sky dweller with the white dial would be my choice if the sky D ended up being the choice. I have a sub LV that is pretty much my daily wearer, as well as the BLNR on an oyster that I would be moving to make room for one of these.

If you already have a GMT II (BLNR on oyster), I would definitely go with the SkyD for some diversity in the collection.

I would be selling or trading the BLNR towards one of these. It’s a beautiful watch but I prefer my sub and thought it might be nice to diversify and have a dressier watch. Which would make me lean towards the sky D. But I’ve had a soft spot for CHNR and the rose gold.

Skydweller, mainly because Everose Gold does not look good to my eyes.

I have both. Started with a skyd. It's flashy so I had to get the root beer on my more casual days.

Both great watches. Tough choice, but for me, I’d go Sky-Dweller and really hope to in the future. Love the size, annual calendar, and layout of the GMT function.

I think the Sky looks better in blue, but any dial color in steel is better looking on a Sky Dweller than TT. TT looks better on Chnr, and Bluesy in my opinion.

CHNR is the best TT professional.

The Datejust is the best TT classic.

Totally agree. If looking for TT should stick to these two.

Have you tried them on? They should wear differently as SKyD is 42mm. Then again the case of the GMT is not exactly “slim”!
Anyway, root beer gets my vote!

imho without a doubt the Rootbeer. And yes this also includes Rootbeer over SS SkyD Blue
