He's driving a 10 year old Rolls Royce; his whole personality screams used car salesman. I won't believe a word uttered from people with mouths or personality like that. It's all BS spun to justify their decisions.

That being said - I have nothing against flipping. I have something against lying though.

I certainly wouldn’t do business with the guy

Neither would I, I would want my money to benefit someone more genuine.

just give your AD the serial number of the daytona so they can at least grill the original buyer.

there are trusted dealers on the forums selling black ceramic daytonas in better condition and cheaper than what this guy advertised on fleabay. He probably paid what a grey dealer would have at 18k but he is delusionnal if he thinks he can make more than a 10% margin on the sale.

That is true. Especially with the black dial. He will be lucky to get $20k. And wouldn’t eBay charge fees? Hopefully he loses money!

No offense to the guy, but if I had limited knowledge (his last watch was bought 15 years ago) there is no way in hell I would plunk down 18,250 in cash for a watch. He does not know what is going on in the underworld of fakes, and he can easily get taken even if the warranty card matches and so on.

Videos like these enable people to do things they should not be doing. I have bought/sold watches with meeting up with some awesome people on this forum (with proper references and such), but I meet at an AD for verification. If you do not know what you are doing, stick to TD's or of course AD's.

Edit: Now I saw that it is for sale.... would love to know why since he said this is the one he wants.

You should. The original seller doesn’t deserve to get another grail piece in place of a true collector.

What a dip shot to show the AD’s bag. The Rolex glove screams grey market flipper who regularly buys with special treatment there and they wanted a quick $5k profit.

I don’t know how anyone would consider this beautiful. The guy in the video is also a goofball if his grail for the last 15 years was a 2 tone Sub. 5 years ago nobody wore those. They’ve only become popular again because of the SS shortages.

Really cheesy video.

Ewww. Though I'm not very fond of flippers or flipping, this really bothers me. He made a video BSing everyone about his dream watch, how it's going to stay with him, etc but within a couple of days, he put it up for sale. This watch for 15 yrs, now this watch as a milestone, blah blah blah. And those folks at Ben Bridges, interesting group of folks

Before anybody dumps on the original seller maybe give him the benefit of the doubt. These are horrific economic times for many people. Maybe he just needed the cash to survive.

Your ire should be directed at the buyer for clearly putting out a phony hyped up video since it appears he had no intention of keeping the Daytona and bought it to flip for profit. Again, nothing wrong with that except he lied to his fan base-whoever the heck would watch that guy in the first place is beyond me. Who knows if that Submariner he was wearing is even real.

3k! Just enough to change the oil in his rolls. What a show.
