Hopping you all can help me with this mystery. I got my CHNR in the box on the left. But I think Rolex transitioned to the new box on the right around 2015/2016? The CHNR was a 2018 release. So was this just an AD mixup or anyone else grab their CHNR in the older box?

My CHNR came in the box on the right. Any box is technically fine by me :) . Still loving the Root beer!

Thanks in advance!

I’m cool with any box too! Especially since I started collecting post 2015 and had only the new boxes in collection.

Does anyone in this thread daily wear the root beer? How is the comfort when worn?

I feel like it could be easily dressed up and down and it just has a lot of “depth” to it.
On the other hand I’m worried I would get one and want to just baby it.

Wearing mine daily now, going on a month. I find it to be as comfortable as my other watches. Your comment on “depth” and dressing up or down seems to be accurate. I do acknowledge that I’ve been primarily at home dressed down recently due to COVID, but I’m certain this will dress up well once work/travel pick back up.

My 2 cents.

Joined the club about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I’m loving it! I wanted it since it released at Baselworld 2018. I was offered the watch a little over a year ago and had to pass, but I pulled the trigger this time. Great pictures everyone!

Just picked mine up about an hour ago.

Absolutely love this watch (and lucky for me so does my lovely wife)

The Z Blue was complaining that it needed a friend - so what was one to do? Have to keep my first Rolex happy now don't I.

Great photos.

The bezel changes colors so often and even looks blue in certain photos.

I may have to get on “the list”.

Long time reader first time poster!

Picked mine up last week and have worn it daily since.

The interesting thing is that I recognise all the photos on here in terms of how the watch looks under different lights. Many of the photos are really quite different but all accurately represent the CHNR (whilst still not quite capturing it).

Fascinating and fantastic watch!

I wear my CHNR 5-6 days a week (gotta give some wrist time to my other pieces:) )

Comfort comes down to bracelet fit and for me, with 2 links removed, the fit is perfect. Size is perfect and because of that I don’t get a top-heavy feel.

It’s got loads of wrist presence from an observers perspective, and I wear it with shorts and tees as well as to the office. It shines in both cases.

Surprising. Always felt TT had niche appeal. Maybe more people coming around to seeing how stunning it is.

I think there’s a general realization sinking in that even a pandemic isn’t going to open the AD safes and streamline the SS pieces feeding the waitlist and instant watch equity. For the grey premium on most models you’re in TT MSRP territory and the pieces just have more presence and a bit of nostalgic charm to them.

Like you’ve said, people are realizing how stunning the TT pieces are in their own right.

Even I’m waiting to see if the ceramic bezel trickles down to the TT Daytona with the September announcement with the plan to leave the SS chase to the speculators.

The GMT range is the only Rolex range that has a TT reference that looks better than SS references in my opinion.

Yes! I could not agree more - my BLNR can’t hold a candle to the CHNR.

Great shot and great representation of how the everose tone really looks in person. Most shots I've seen do not capture Rolex's everose tone correctly.

Yeah I don't faff around with filters or anything, you can see all the dirt from my wrists on my white desk...it's a good white balance calibration too!

Well said. If the social media caused mass hypnosis for the BLRO and BLNR were to wear off, folks would see it’s the CHNR that’s the gem of the GMT range.
