IMHO the end links should go, it will look fine without them and looks odd with them.

Some potential strap ideas from Combat Straps (no affiliation):

I like it better on it's original bracelet.
But if it works for you... enjoy!

I'm curious, the end links you have fitted to your sky dweller off your sd43 are different from the end links on my 2017 sd43.

I do not like it. The bracelet is so strong that it looks out of place without it.

Thank you all for your comments!

I understand and agree that about half the people don't like the strap, but one thing that I don't understand are the comments regarding the end links.

The SkyDweller is one of the few Rolex that is offered with a bracelet or a leather strap, and the strap version does have end links, so why is it considered out of place to have the end links?

Here's a picture of an original SkyDweller with blue dial and leather strap as sold by Rolex.

I took these pictures from Davidsw, and left the (C) in place.

This is a gold version, but with the same dial.

BTW, the strap looks black, but it is actually navy blue. Perhaps I should replace the strap for something similar...

looks great ! I think watches with straps generally benefit from the added endlinks.

I like the leather strap. I have a 326139 strap version with the “end-links”, but they’re not endlinks, they are white-gold inserts that are attached to the case and are smooth. I like leather and rubber with rolex, but I’ve seen a lot of aftermarket options where the look does get messed up due to the end-links not lining up, being off-color, and gaps forming. I think this is why a lot of people recommend just going without end-links when you put a leather strap on. Or, get a curved spring bar so there is less gap.

Nice contrast between the tan strap and blue dial.

Do you want the truth? If so look below. If not read no further.

I do not like this combination at all. Put that back on the strap it came with and use that Strap for a Jaeger Master Moon or something. This combination doesn't work IMO.

I like the leather and the color. End links don’t agree with me in general.

I don’t dislike it.

I love watches on leather straps but generally not on a Rolex.

My Omega Speedmaster is a strap monster. You could put just about any strap on it, and it looks fantastic.

My Submariner is the exact opposite. Bracelet only and that’s fine with me. No reason to change it.

Might look better without endlinks. From that I do like on alligator strap!

The end links do seem smaller on the white gold version, but to be honest for its not because they do not look "original" I just think end links look weird in general.
Same as the Daytona on Oysterflex, I think it would look much better with just a curved rubber strap like the Yachtmaster

The only problem that I have with the Skydweller is...my wrists are too small. I wish that it is bigger than six and a half inches so that I can wear bigger watches. What you did to yours is great...looks beautiful. Enjoy your watch

The endlinks are not the original endlinks of a SD43 but they are aftermarket endlinks (probably Smarty endlinks).

Thank you all for your comments.

I was able to get an ABP alligator strap that I think looks better with the SkyDweller than the previous strap.

That looks cool! In my completely biased opinion, I think you should just get a strapped WG SkyD so that you have both looks. I have the strapped 326139 black face and will probably add a bracelet SkyD sometime in the future.

It's not bad. I can't say it's awesome, but maybe it's just not the right tone of leather (the darker leather looks classier, I dig that one much more than the 1st). I'm thinking you might also try blue alligator with cream white stitching to match the hour markers might actually look pretty killer.

Nice work with the endlink!

The other day I posted a thread and some pics on a new custom strap I received for my SkyDweller.

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=756223

This guy will solve your endlink problem with his Thick Curved Lug System, and also you will find a top quality leather in your color of choice.

ost7.jpeg

Personally I think the light tan strap doesn't go very well with the blue dial, the darker one matches more but it could be better.

Dark blue or a very dark brown croc would be my choice... and John Glance has some very nice hides for those. Enjoy!

Sorry not for me, it needs to be back on the bracelet or even a rubber b for a sportier look. Fantastic watch though, I love mine
