I hope DJs don’t become unobtanium...such a great and accessible model for the enthusiast or anyone looking for a useful, versatile watch

Is the DJ36 the next in demand model?

The DJ and the Day Date imo look best and more classic in the 36mm.

Never lol.. the day DJ’s and DD’s and readily available at every AD would be quite the scene!

I love the 36DJ. Best of the lot, IMO.

However as per the recent AD AMA on reddit, they stated demand is still 70:30 in favor of the 41. Unfortunately, as WIS, we are part of an echo-chamber that does not always reflect the broader marker. So, no, I don't think 36 will be the next "hot model", but as an enthusiast I do think it is the best iteration of the DJ nonetheless :).

I agree. Smooth bezel, oyster bracelet and blue dial is a killer combo.

Let’s see some pics of yours?

Am I one of the few who doesn’t like a smooth bezel on the DJ?

+1 I mean I don’t hate it but datejust needs a fluted in my opinion, or it is another reference. Like a OP39 date or something.

No you're not. I'd get a Aqua Terra if l wanted a smooth bezel.

Phew, saw many smooth bezel posts. Atleast some appreciate it, that’s just the beauty of it I guess. The bezel really makes the piece pop with the jubilee.

I'd like to clarify. This was my first quality watch and l sold it and it's a very nice watch. It's the smooth bezel l was referring to.

I think I prefer fluted on the DJ36 & smooth on the DJ41 ... I’ve tried a few on recently

Today went to local AD & he has the lowest stock that they have ever had. He had about 6 DJ36s all on Oyster & 1 TT with jubilee.. there was only 8-10 pieces in the window mainly Diamond dials, few 36s, couple of TT 41s & a DD

Prefer larger models in the sports range. Couldn’t get on with a DJ2 or a DJ41, though. To me, the Datejust is best in 36mm.

I went with the older model as I prefer the broader stance and the 3135 movement.

I think that 36mm will also become a little more scarce.

This is my one and only Rolex watch.

I prefer jubilee and fluted for myself, but I do like smooth bezel on oyster as well

So when I started the thread I’d placed an order with the AD for the DJ36 and got the call last week so that’s around 4 weeks of waiting. Obviously managed to source it elsewhere but shows that it can be obtained for those with a little patience, lol!!

What about all this "I went to get a steel sports watch and all they had were DD/DJs"?
