Some funny and good advice. I suffer from this problem on other fronts too. Cars, motorcycles, guitars, and wine have all been long standing addictions. Thankfully, those have tapered off but this watch thing is in full force!

I’m going to try my best to live in the moment and enjoy this watch before buying another but it’s not going to be easy!

I know the feeling. I just bought a BNIB blue TT Sub, put it on my wrist when I got home. Then immediately went on the Internet to look at other watches. I hardly took 10 minutes to look at the bluey. I don't think I'll buy another Rolex soon but there are so many other nice watches out there... I. Must. Resist...

Like the last one. My wife thought she could break the curse before it took hold by telling me I needed 3.

That said, addictive personalities will easily become addicts. The only good thing is some of us can focus on making money to fund our addictions. A rare few can actually turn a profit because of addictions. Just try not to destroy your life because of it.

My brother and I go through addiction cycles. He is better at recycling and turning a profit. I tend to keep my collections. My wife is not too upset with this addiction, at least watches don’t take up much room

i like this a lot... in theory

This is one of the things that for me is making the hobby less fun. Timeframes are so dependent on AD's and luck and other factors that its really hard to plan. All of a sudden you get a bunch of watches offered to you and sometimes you go through excessive dry spells. I wish i could have spaced some of my incomings out better, but that would involve passing on some hard to get pieces with no guarantee i could ever get them again.
