I don’t blame him or anyone else who has lukewarm or even disinterested feelings for the BLNR (especially with already having a killer daily wear). My experience was seeing it in person for the first time after only pictures had the most positive effect it could have possibly had and, with it being my first Rolex and meaningful in multiple ways, one that I’ll never let go.

It is a great piece. However if he isn’t feeling it then he made the right decision for himself.

I love my BLNR. 1st Rolex I bought. Picked it over all other SS models. With that being said I of course have added some more pieces. If I had to do it again it would still be my pick as first.

I had AD offer 10 off years ago and I still passed. I like it because it's a nice watch...for some reason, it just doesn't sing to me as it logically should...

Buy what you like and stay and stay away from the hype. The BLNR is my daily and hits all the check marks for my lifestyle. It's great watch and keeper!

You must be thinking about the WG BLRO rather than the BLNR, which is very blue and not purplish at all.

I was looking at submariners. Went through all the rolex models and stumbled along the BLNR and loved the colors. Classy and sporty. Must make me a millennial... Great job with the blanket statement

BLNR rejection at AD

Me too, and I’m an old guy (66), BLNR is fabulous in person. Don’t like the “Hulk” in fact, too green for me (and hate the name and comic character, but that’s a different issue).

For me it was all the hype that ruined the BLNR. The LN is totally underrated and the BLNR is hyped like crazy even though the only thing different about them is half a bezel and a GMT hand. The LN is a cleaner looking piece... maybe im biased

I bought BLNR after subC date then traded my subC date with LV, the BLNR just gets the most wrist time, I also find it more comfortable than the sub. I wouldn’t part it in a foreseeable future.

Someone must be color blind if they think BLNR blue is purple-ish, but ceramic Pepsi isn’t.

It’s hard to know if you like it if you never get the chance to try it on. I’ve never seen one in person, so even if I were to want one, I would have to get on a waitless and pass on it like that guy did if I didn’t like it.

Traded my Polar Exp II 216570(wore for 5 years) for a BLNR and love it! Hulk is a take or leave for me, doubt I would ever buy one, but have a lot of respect for it. Gen X'er BTW. And a BLNR is no more a millennials watch than I am going to the moon tomorrow.

I’ve already got one which I bought when it was first released in 13. Dealer will have several others on their wait list to call. Bet it was gone by the end of the day.

+1. I"m not a fan of color watches... BUT I'll buy one just to add it in the collection for fun :)

I guess that is why Rolex makes so many different watches, to each his own I suppose.

The coloured watches can be a bit bling in certain light , I sold a blue pelagos as it was just to much for me in the summer sunshine ( 4 days a year in the U.K. lol ) the exp is one of the most practical watches in the range so no surprise he didn’t go for it like for like

What watch are you talking about?

Failed experiment? Purplish? You mean the BLRO clearly as the BLNR is pure blue and has been a massive success since day 1 of it's release! Now the BLRO has been a failed experiment as it has been soft since day 1 with people not crazy about the colors.

Blro soft ? The only thing that put ( the masses ) people off was the PM Price if it was SS it would have been as popular as the blrn /don’t you think ?

BLNR is the most bashed watch on this forum, isn’t it? The fact that it gets this amount of bashing proves it is something special.

I get that people don’t warm to it too much. But even I bought mine without trying it on and only having tried on a sub. It’s safe to say I was not disappointed. The watch is a true all rounder, dress it up or down. Either way it just draws your eye to it, my productivity at work has just gone for a toss!!!

the BLNR is a great watch but things can always change when you haven't seen it in person.
