May I ask if it hurts anyone's wrist? I've got another thread on the SD43 killing me, many say because of the caseback, and I've been wanting a milgauss z blue but don't want to find myself in the same situation! Tough to know trying it on in the store (which I have) for brief moments

I have no issue with the MG hurting my wrist. None of my watches do so, assuming they are sized correctly. Once in a while I'll find that one is too loose or too tight. A trip to the buffet usually is sufficient to get it to fit.

I loved the GV when I had it...But, that case size at 40mm was a tad too big. Thirty six would have been perfect...like my Explorer 1

I find it to be one of the most comfortable watches I own. My memory from the forums is more people find the Milgauss to be unusually comfortable, rather than the counter.

Why do ask about having the guts? Do you mean it takes nerve to buy what you like and not only what goes for X over retail?

I mean because it's not a regular watch and I don't think it's easy to sell if you end up getting bored with it after a while you know?

My first Rolex was this guy and it’s still one of my favourites.

Not everyone is concerned about the value of a watch once it has been purchased.

Out of curiosity, what will you do when your Rolex goes back to being -40% MSRP on the second hand market with trusted dealers undercutting each other to make a sale.

Went from a DJ36 to the Z Blue and while I could tell a difference and it took a few days for my wrist to get used to it, that said, it wears great now

If I could make up my mind between the two variants I would own it.

I'm with you on this.

If they offered a black or rhodium I'd be all over this!

Love them in theory; haven't bought however.

I like the Milgauss but every time I try it on it does not like me. A little too small, a little too shiny for what it is.

Z-Blue could be the most beautiful Rolex. But it is a little thick. Eventually moved it for a Sub because bezel, date, and glidelock are much more functional for daily life.

My first and only so far. Love it, find it quite comfortable and I don't have a large wrist. I am looking for a white faced one to go with it.

Milgauss is a damn fine watch. It’s history is every bit the equal of a sub or gmt. The Z-Blue is a real bobby dazzler with the GV and it’s relative availability makes it ideal for a first purchase. Very comfortable and holds value pretty well. No brainier.

To me it's the best watch, bar none. I was in college when I saw it announced by an online (street) culture magazine I was regularly following. That was 2007. It was the black dial, green glass 116400GV. I instantly fell in love. I had dreamed of having it since then.

It was the most beautiful Rolex I had ever seen. I knew I wanted to own one day. Here's mine in the Tahoe snow.

Awesome. I feel like if I got one I should get the z-blue because I have a lot of black dials, and it is supposedly the "one to get" - but to be honest deep down I like this one the best!

The one to get, is the one you want best.

I like almost everything about the Z-Blue but the orange second hand no so much. I wish they would have used a different second hand not being a bolt. Actually, it was the first Rolex I was going to purchase but the second hand held me back. Well, different strokes for different folks. Nice piece either way...

Z-blue is the only watch that puts a smile on my face each time I wear it. The way the dial shimmers and plays with the bright sunlight is just amazing to look at. Add that green crystal hue to the blue dial and each angle changes the blue/green color that no other Rolex can match.

I believe z-blue will always have a limited following and may never attain the status/following of mass produced GMT, Sub and explorer.

It is the most comfortable watch I own. The raised case back with the smooth sides makes it super comfortable. My GMT and my Sub sometimes feel like its 'cutting' into my wrist. Never have that problem with my Milgauss

Very comfortable imo (but I find the SD43 very comfortable as well).
