It appears that the spotting was there at the initial dial creation, because none of the spotting is on the lume (lume is added later to the dial). Seems also that the dial markers/indices were assembled to the dial afterwards as there is no spotting to them either.

How could this go unnoticed at the factory? Jeez.

Were it mine, I would send it back. No collector value there, IMHO. Just a hot mess.

Perhaps Tudor are really taking it to the extremes with the vintage blue dial reference that they're also simulating the bubbling degradation that sometimes goes with it. It's time to invoke warranty replacement.

Well my thoughts exactly. On the surface it does not bother me. It starts to bother me when I think about how it was missed and what else could have been missed...

It's so stupid and I hate the current market, kinda, but imagine if it spreads and the dial turns or fades into some purple'ish blue colour. Would love to see that to be honest.

I normally don’t care about the small alignment issues, but I would be sending a speckled dial back.

See what happens in 4 years then decide. It’s got a 5yr I believe and they might even do a full service on the house too.

I think that most of the forum members just mention it as an amusing observation of how the overall market might treat the watch since we have seen oddities in the past become highly valued by collectors. I'm not sure that the members are taking it to "stupid levels." Seems a little insulting to the 4-5 members who mentioned it.

Unless it really bothers you and you can actually see it with the naked eye, I would keep it.

I would get the dial replaced. I would also love to keep the original for its curiosity value. Tudor won't allow that, so I'll take the repaired watch in the condition it was supposed to be in when I bought it.

Has the dial always had these specs or are they developing? Can this possibly be a one off? Wouldn't have thought so.

Me too! I yearn after a bluesy with a purple dial. I got the BB58NB and if the dial does change to purple that would be epic.

Absolutely

OP - If you bought a new car with speccled paint would you be happy? No.

Its either terrible QC from Tudor or the dial/dial paint has been contaminated with something that has taken a while to show.

Forget the RSC. Go back to your AD and have the watch replaced by a brand new one one that isn't faulty.

I see the marks much better now with the new photo.

And based on their size, as compared to the dial text for reference, they would easily be visible without a loupe.

I'm sort of on the fence, but I will say if it was me, and my watch I just got, I'd be quite upset and want the dial, if not the entire watch, replaced. Just because it's "new" and I want it to look "new" not like a vintage 9411 with a cancerous dial (plus I already have one of those).

Did you get anything from the dealer that stated (in writing) they acknowledge the defect at the time of delivery? I could see Tudor pushing back on this- "why didn't you send it back right away?"

PS I went to see one my self and they did not have any in stock, although I'm on "the list" (eyeroll). Pelagos was nice; although I still prefer the early 2-line dial (eta power).

My AD now has it. They acknowledge the issue and have offered to replace the watch if needed. Even I decide that I want it replaced later given warranty. They said Tudor would also likely replace it as opposed to dial replacement. They promised me I am protected. They are getting more official updated word from Tudor today and I told him I would follow his rec. Thoughts?

Haha! You know? Im not so sure. It doesnt look cool... My AD also mentioned he kinda likes it as it adds uniqueness. What I told him was that I just want confirmation from Tudor that I do not have a lemon (not sure they would ever confirm it without having it in hand). For example, if they said yes we know what caused it, no danger to watch performance. That would make me feel better.

Also, there is no way I am the only one with this issue. Everyone who has one look closely in the sun! Thats how I found it.

Probably a few Tesla owners who can chime in on that one.

Also, after a few years, do you get your car detailed and waxed to make everything look factory new... or do you leave all the scratches and swirl marks because it adds character and tells a story? ;)

Then I would have it replaced , only if I can keep my original dial , that is the less Tudor can do..

I got a new BB58 blue this week and my dial has the same spottings (looks more like copper shines to the naked eye, but I will have to look under magnification).

What did Tudor had to say about yours and what was your final decision ?

I'm sure the OP didn't set out with his hard earned to buy a faulty watch if people are buying to properly use and enjoy then this would spoil it for me.
I'd have it sent back or replaced.
If something has bad karma your always going to see the flaw and disapointment first.
IMHO
