Sell BLNR (Oyster) and buy Pepsi?

What you guys think about the idea of selling the BLNR (Oyster) to buy the Pepsi?

BLNR (Oyster) bought in MSRP and will buy the Pepsi in MSRP also.

If you’re gonna buy the Pepsi at msrp then keep the Batman.

Then I would buy the Pepsi and use the Batman money for another reference.

Only you know if you truly prefer the Pepsi over the Batman, but if you do, it's a "smart" move since you're getting the Pepsi at MSRP. Sell the BLNR, pick up the Pepsi, and pocket the difference.

Leverage .Obviously you are not selling at MRSP.

Leverage deals on Rolex rarely works .In 10-15 years you will be kicking yourself for letting the 116710BLNR go .

Just buy the 126710BLRO outright .

If you can, keep both even for a while. This will give you some time to settle in and spend some time with both in your collection. If at that later time, you still want to let go of the BLNR, you can easily do it then.

Hope this helps.

As others have said, try to keep them both.

The BLNR on oyster is a great watch, I wouldn’t consider selling mine.

Do it. If you don't like it, and miss your Batman, flip it. You'll make a nice $

Keep the Batman and get the Pepsi. You will have two very significant GMTs in terms of importance. Pepsi is the historical GMT, and the Batman is the first bicolor bezel GMT and is discontinued, and will be collectable in the future more than the Pepsi in my opinion. The Pepsi and Batgirl will have years of future production. Don't let go of the Batman.

If you absolutely cannot and will not have two GMT’s, then get the BLRO and flip it. Makes you more money. The BLNR is more versatile watch, so keep it.

If it was me, I’d keep both.

I would, if I was for some reason sitting on a BLNR. . I don't like the BLNR and I love the BLRO.

The question is, which do you prefer?

I had the opportunity to buy a BLNR from my AD last month. It occurred to me to buy it and flip for a BLRO. But only for a split second. Better that it went to a home that would appreciate it. I hope it did.

Kudos Harry

OP, it makes sense to me. It sounds like you’re jonesing for the blro and I wouldn’t bother with both especially if you have a small collection

It is just a matter of preference. I think you can have both in a collection.

100%. I can’t argue the black and blue is really stunning. However, I always feel that I’d have much preferred a BLNR when I was 17 than I would today at 35. The BLRO is classic beauty. It is the only watch I’d sell my sub for (still waiting for the call). I’d make this move and never look back!

NO. The BLNR is less flashy and the colors far more perfected. The oyster bracelet makes it less flashy on the wrist and the black/blue has 3 colors where the BLRO has 4-the difference is the BLRO is more integrated rather than the BLRO with red, blue, black, silver and then the jubilee reflecting light on from every angle. My brother owned the BLNR and it looks good in almost any situation and is not nearly as flashy.
