WOS GS special edition - anyone buying ?

“Introducing: The Grand Seiko x Watches of Switzerland Group Toge Special Edition SBGM241 (Live Pics & Pricing)” via @watchville https://api.watchville.co/v2/posts/51016/click

I’ve always liked the 221 and almost bought it a few times... this iteration looks gorgeous.

Anyone placing a pre-order ?

Gorgeous watch. I won't go into the thickness discussion that has been beaten to death. I do think the GMT hand on this one looks a bit odd. Maybe it's the photos but it doesn't seem to match up with the paint color of the 24 hour numerals on the dial.

Gorgeous watch but too thick. If they made it manual wind and shaved it down by a few mm it’s be a killer beater.

Gorgeous watch and one that I was planning on getting until the shut down happened ... and then saw this new one . Agree it is thick , like most GS . But w the smaller case and it’s curves , it’s doesn’t feel too thick on the wrist.

This looks really good. I would want to see it in the flesh though as last time I was in the GS boutique I tried a couple of GMTs on and they didn't connect as much as the fairly 'boring' SBGA373 which I thought was stunning in person.

I personally think the humble SBGA285 is the best Grand Seiko (or at least the best resolved).

If I liked it a little more I’d probably have bought one.

Yes the black is really nice and at least on that model the date wheel matches the colour of the dial.

I actually think this watch is really cool but I have some others higher up my priority list for the next purchase. I suspect I may get one at some stage.

Ive got a 221... dont need another.

FWIW, it's the most accurate automatic I own... it's consistently +/-1 a day since Ive owned it.

Wonder how many units would be produced. I heard 200 units, as supposedly stated by Brian Duffy during an IG live with GS US President. But I can’t A find a way to confirm this...

Let me know when the next GMT spring drive comes along. To borrow a tagline from years ago, why fool around with anything else?

My Ti diver is consistently 6-8 seconds fast, PER MONTH! Highly accurate, no battery, long life expectancy, nicer finish- take THAT, Rolex fanboys!

Now that it's soon to be available.... always admired GS. Wish it was High Beat... or Spring. Any confirmation on qty being produced?

I got to see this in person and I thought it looked nice. I had concerns it was a little too thick, but I didn’t feel the thickness when I placed it on my wrist. It actually sat pretty comfortable. It looked great, but something kept me from pulling the trigger. I guess it has to do with not being familiar with the brand. The SA led me to believe these watches were very slowly trickling in (1 in stock and had a couple come in the prior weeks) Also, unfortunately, it will only be available at WOS. When I originally called GS, they cringed and said I had to go to WOS. Ha! Crappy pic as it was wrapped in plastic.

Saw this one in person recently, and while I like it a lot, I preferred the SBGM 221 and even more so the SBGJ 217.

As much as I want to like green, I tend to gravitate towards neutral color dials.
