Question about Rolex Crown

Hey guys i am assuming there is a pretty quick answer to this question, anyway what is the meaning behind the 3 dots shown on the crown of my LV? Are the 3 dots on all mens models?

Is the strait line below the crown shown in the picture only on ladies model rolex watches? What does it represent, if anything at all?

Thanks!
