Why do you ask, do you see something off?
Can you post another picture, not at an angle.. |

Still looks good. There's a ton of these in HK, they used to be really popular here in the 1960s-80s.

I think every 13 year old in HK was issued a 6694 in those days. :) They came pouring out of there in the late 90s, early 2000s. eBay was full of them and the HK dealers had 30-40 of them all the time. 500-800, good times. :)

The lume dots also are intact and seem uniformly aged.

reason why I am asking because I took this watch to a watchmaker yesterday to fix something, but he said it is clearly a repainted dial so it is not worth to fix it. That's why I m trying to confirm if it is a repainted dial or not.

What is wrong with the watch that would be so expensive to repair that a repaint would make it worthless? |

Sounds to me like your "watchmaker" didnt want to be bothered or wanted it to apear to be wrong so that he could give you a low ball offer for it.
Everything looks correct to me. Take the watch to someone else and im sure you will get the work that the watch deserves.

My 2¢...
Find a new watchmaker or send to RSC for a service quote. If the dial's not 100% original they will include the cost of a new one in their quote. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Seems like every other Tudor dress watch I come across on Ebay is in HK. Scares the snot out of me as it appears to me that they are almost re-producing them. This one looks good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

the hands of my 6694 now are off, for example, lets say it is supposed to be 5:00 now, one of the hands will be pointing to the middle between 5 and 6 instead of 5.
Yes, he did offer me and said it would cost roughly $220USD to fix that issue above. And mentioned it is a repainted so why bother to fix it. Quote:

Thats a normal watch shop price to pop a watch open. It all depends on whats wrong with it. If it just needs a cleaning then you are good to go. If it needs parts then most likely it will be quite a bit more than $220
