Seeking advice for bride/groom Rolex gifts.

Hello all! First time poster here. My fiance` and I will be getting married this summer and have been mulling over an idea for our wedding presents.

I consider myself a huge fan of watches, however I possess a rather modest collection of several STOWA watches (3 to be exact). It has long been my plan to purchase a rolex for my next addition.

This is where our idea came in! I have been a huge fan of the 1500 vintage rolex with the stick markers and silver dial for a while. Our plan is to get a Men's 1500 Oyster Perp. Date with a matching Ladies watch of the same time period. We would also like the same type of silver dial/hands and oyster bracelet. Our plan being to have the wedding date etched on the back.

Any assistance from the collective wealth of knowledge that this forum has would be greatly appreciated.

For note I have contacted a Rolex dealer that I purchased our wedding rings/diamonds at and they stated that sourcing these watches shouldn't be a huge hassle. Any thoughts on reference numbers I should be looking into? Any way to ensure I do not get burned.

Also, we are not terribly worries about wear and tear. We love the character. We plan to have them serviced in the next few years as well. So no worry there.

TLDR : Getting matching rolex's (His/Hers), Mens will be the Oyster Perp. 1500 and I have no idea on the females reference?

Any info would be great!

Thanks ,

Colten

I'd start by checking the list of vintage watch dealers/sellers listed in a sticky, here in the vintage section of TRF. Start making contacts and asking questions
