Vintage pair for my two sons...

As both my sons fast approach adulthood, graduations, etc I have purchased these in the hope of creating the next generation of WIS.

Do others plan on gifting watches and or the obsession?

Whoever shovels more snow this comining winter gets to choose.

All kidding aside my younger son had previously commented; "why would anyone buy a watch without a date, I always know roughly what time it is but always forget the date". Makes it easy.

Those look GREAT.
The boys are very lucky.
Can I just ask what brand of leather strap that is?

Would love to share but doesn't have a label printed. Came with it and the original bracelet. I will ask the dealer on Monday. Again apologies.

No worries. Thanks for getting back to me. It sure is a beauty. A lot of leather straps are really thick but that one looks thin and pliable and has great texture to the leather.

Daddy is that you?
All joking aside...great idea for your two sons and it sounds like they both know the significance of what you are doing for them. Great job!

Gifting Watches , I have three boys, one really is into watches , one is sort off and has been several Rolex well is now on his fifth in 12 years, the middle son has a Rolex and has worn it a handful of times in 11 yrs.

I would gladly gift them one more each but suspect they would only sell them to raise cash for Holidays ,so they can wait till I'm gone and sort it out then amongst them selves

Lovely pair of subs very lucky lads

I remember a post many years ago at VRF about a father buying two 6538s for his toddler sons.
Those were the days. Now prices are through the roof. Good investment!
