Look at all the high priced AP and PP on rubber straps over the last 20 years. I think WIS have adapted to rubber just fine. To me it is the modern leather strap, but better, more comfortable and easier to clean. I know plenty of Rolex purists kvetch about the Oysterflexes on PM, but they are perfect for today's more casual dress world.

Don’t know, don’t care, I love the comfort of rubber and that’s all that matters. Others have different preferences and more power to 'em.

I care about what I like. Everyone else can pound sand if they do not like it.

Most of the time NATO is enough for me. But I did change my mind a bit when I saw the new Yacht Master on rubber - liked it more than I thought.

Wait till you ask about putting a $7k Sub on a $15 NATO strap ... LOL

To me, put it on whatever strap / bracelet that fits the activity and the fit. its your watch, just make sure it doesn't fall off your wrist. :D

(I am ok with all bracelet, strap, NATO, etc)

I had to get a less expensive analog watch for my volunteer EMT service. I bought a Seiko field watch with a NATO type material strap. I switched it out for a rubber strap and it works just great. I thought it would create a lot of sweat, but not at this time. I’ll have to check back for summer.

I find the rubber strap on my diver perfect for the summer. Doesn’t get too hot and is of course so easy to keep clean unlike absorbent leather.

I was very down on rubber until I installed a Rubber B on a customer's DeepSea. I got one for my Sub shortly after and it hasn't been taken off since. It may be permanent, as I have an Explorer with an oyster bracelet already.

I have a few on rubber. The Speake-Marin came on white rubber.
