rolex watch stand
Aside from winders, rolls and box's, I'm looking for something to sit bedside to rest a couple Rolex's on when I don't have them in the winder. I saw advertisements for that "watch stand" on instagram that seems to just be a leather pad on a stick. Seems perfect compared to anything else google has come up with, aside from an absurd $200+ price tag. Has anyone seen any reasonable alternatives?

I picked up a Valet tray from Smythsons or they live in a box.

This is the stand i was referencing. Something similar but reasonably priced would be ideal if anyone knows anything! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

We have two in our bedroom. People used to called them “night stands” or sometimes, “bedside table.” A valet tray on top works for when a watch isn’t going back in the winder at day’s end. |

I actually have one of these nightstands. It works fine for me. I don’t have a valet tray. But it sounds like I must have one. But I’m not sure what size Is appropriate and how thick the leather needs to be. Is there a recommended thickness? If it’s too thin will my watch need to be serviced more often. I should probably ask my AD or call RSC.

You loose the self regulation facility of resting on the crown or not over-night.

I wonder if you can buy one of these and disconnect the charging function. Maybe leather wrap the part where your watch rests? A lot of other types are under 10 bucks.

The more I look at this the more it defines the idea of a solution searching for a problem.

I would knock that stand over in a minute and send my watch crashing to the floor!

An extra dust collector for the purpose of draping a watch over. Essentially a cushion jabbed onto a stick. 200 bucks. I'm in the wrong business.

All I can imagine is the stand getting knocked over somehow. I see it has a relatively heavy marble base, but it still doesn’t look like it’d take much. I know I’ve knocked over my phone, iPad, and other stuff from my night stand at some point or another. I definitely would want to risk an expensive watch falling to the floor. If I do take off my watch it gets put in a valet style tray in the bathroom/walk-in closet along with my other gear....away from the kids

I have some authentic current dealer stands. They’re perfect for the closet / night stand.
Will be posting a few shortly. |

Now you're talking. It's probably worth asking as ADs currently only need a couple.
