heaviest Rolex?

anyone know which rolex is the heaviest? my dad's day date platinum seems to be heavier than sub but im wondering because the sub is bigger... also he told me its the links that are worth the most and seem to carry the most weight.... but I am not sure how the daytona stacks up against these in terms of weight... and are the diamonds heavy? in that case leopard daytona? lol

My 116718 weighs a hefty 231 grammes !! I think this is even heavier than the platinum DD due to the extra bulk.

BTW My previous sub weighed just 124 grammes.

I agree.

I would think a Platinum Masterpiece President would be the heaviest.

Gold heavier than SS, and Platinum almost 2x of Gold.

John.
Steel = 7450 to 800 kg/cu.m
Gold = 19320 kg/cu.m
Platinum = 21400 kg/cu.m

Both the gold and plat. watches will be significantly heavier than the steel.

The heft of the 116718 against the smaller but more dense Pres. Plat would be a close thing.

Anyone have a Pres. Plat to weigh?

The SS Sub-date with all original links = 135 grams.

The SD with all links = 148 grams

The TT Blue Sub with all links = 150 grams

Any Platinum Masterpiece from Rolex would weigh MUCH MORE than any of those babies.

I emailed an Ebay powerseller of a platinum president and asked him to weigh it.

227 grammes. Not the heaviest Rolex.

Platinum Masterpiece's are the heavier of all Rolex's.
I want a Seadweller made out of Iridium: 22.4g/cc specific gravity

With a 39mm against a 36mm DD and a heftier bracelet I would guess the Masterpiece is 250/260g.

This would make it the heaviest, I reckon.

It's a bit "Puff Daddy" though.

Is there a Masterpiece Daytona, or a Plat Daytona?

I don't think there's either one. I think DTs only come in SS, YG, and WG. There's a SS/PT YM.
