Well, I took the plunge today...

I picked up my first Rolex today. I bought a new stainless steel Submariner Date. It's beautiful. The problem now is I want a GMT master II too.

Congrats on your first Rolex! As you will find out on this forum most people usually wind up buying more than one Rolex. It becomes an obsession. I have 4 Rolex's I bought in just the past 3 months.

nko,
WOW...you da man... 4 rollies in 3 months....right on

digdug,
My first (after 10 yrs) was the GMT Master II red/black, then I saw the White Exp.II and just had to have it.
Then a short time later 2 others, don't ask what I'm thinking now

You won't be happy until you have both watches in your stable.

Congrats on a fine purchase!

I agree with Allan, and the GMT feels natural once you are wearing it! Feels perfect.

Congrats on the new Sub! I got mine a short while ago and am wearing it every day. I have an older GMT which is now sitting on a winder. I, personally, am not sure I'm cut out to be a multiple owner. It bugs me to not be able to wear the one that's being neglected. That being said, if a deal came along I'd probably grab it. I'd cetainly stagger the purchases though, so I didn't have them all due for service at once.

David, the key to this problem is: Rotation. Rotation. Rotation!

I've got mine down to a fine art. Each of my Rollies understands that they will get their fair share of wrist time. Nobody gets jealous. No one dominates. Its just one big happy family!!!

It's NOT a problem BUT a disease!

So what are you waiting for, run along and get the GMT, it'll make you feel better - trust me!
