Vintage leather/suede on Explorer II?

Hello fellow Rolexfans!

Well, the title is pretty self-explenatory.
I have a great polar Explorer II (16570) and am thinking of putting a "vintage" chocolate leather/suede strap on it but I am not sure if it is worth the money. I have searched the internet for leather straps on Explorer II:s but not found any good pics of a vintage strap. IMHO regular leather straps on the Explorer II is underwhelming to say the least, hence my hesitation.

I have found some pics at thetimetravler shop but they do not tell me much as the angel of the pictures are not that informative of how they will look in real life.

Are any of you in possession of a Explorer II with vintage leather strap and can take the time to post a pic or two? Or have anyone seen a Explorer II Polar on a "vintage" leather/suede strap? How does it work?

Best Regards,
SE
