Two Hummers Attack Each Other Sequence - five photos

Hello Everyone,

I am so excited!

My hummingbirds are really starting to feel at home as they have been the past summers. I have been photographing them for a week now.

As the days go by, they get more relaxed and circle my home many times during the day

Here is a hummer sequence:

Photo 1
I am such a lucky hummingbird to have such a big flower buffet.

Photo 2
Oh no, I hear a noise!

Photo 3
What’s that

Photo 4
Oh no, it’s you!

Photo 5
Take that!
Get out of my beloved flower garden! It’s all mine!

I really appreciate my red bee balm because they bring the ruby-throated hummingbirds to my garden like clock work the beginning of summer each year.

This year prior to their arrival on June 23rd, I didn’t see one hummingbird anywhere. It’s when the bee balm are blooming that they arrive. My bee balm was blooming for two weeks and then they came.

I hope you enjoyed my new captures for 2017, as much as I loved photographing this surprise sequence as it happened. To me, it’s a dream to get two hummers in one frame never mind them fighting in mid-air.

Have a great day

I am so looking forward to more beautiful photos from you all here :)
Please keep them coming...

Getting gear ready! Hopefully the critters cooperate tomorrow! On the hunt for a specific animal. Fingers crossed.

Went to Marine room and visibility was 5 ft and less so I was lucky to see my wife diving next to me let alone any sharks. Maybe next time.

Thank you as are yours. I've only had one chance to photograph them when there was an irruption a few years ago.

Yeah I hate it when the viz is bad. I end up spending more time cleaning my gear than diving. Good luck next time!

They are beautiful. I got to photograph them for one day only. Snowy was far in the distance sitting on the snow on a very sunny day.

So didn't get a decent picture.

I really enjoy seeing your wonderful work.
Have a great evening.

Who likes butterflies?

I grow my Mexican Sunflowers from seeds middle of April. They grow over eight feet tall and the butterflies love them and the hummingbirds like them.

Incredible! I can't pick one. What lens are you using? I'm about to get a Tokina 100mm F/2.8 MACRO for my D3300. Can't wait to see the results.

You are too kind and thank you.
I used my Canon 400mm F5.6 because I was also photographing the hummingbirds. Also the flowers are up high and far away.

I use my macros when I photograph my flowers up close.
