1935 Rolex Oyster Perpetual
Hello all,
I need some help figuring out if the dial has been restored or not on my 1935 Rolex. Click on this link to see the pictures: . It is in extremely good condition, which makes me think it's been refinished, but at the same time, if it was, it is such a spectacular job in my opinion. Still no pictures and no link. Better preview that stuff before you go live.
If you are uploading to this page you have to press UPLOAD after you choose it otherwise it never goes up. |

If it doesn't show still, I don't know what the problem is, I know that the post has to be approved so maybe that is where the problem is occuring. I can't upload the photos because the file sizes are too big for the forum requirement, so I am just giving a link to a dropbox folder.

The link worked for me. In my untrained eye, the tile looks refinished to me as the oyster perpetual lettering looks somewhat Wiggley and Wobbley.

Totally refinished. No SWISS or SWISS MADE at 6:00 The lume is completely wrong.

The watch is also from 1st quarter of 1955 as noted by the serial number and inside the case back.

It's an OK refinish, not horrible. Lume, as Mr. Taylor pointed out, is a bit of an eyesore.

Sorry about the wrong date, I thought it looked like a 50's model, but a chart I looked at put it at 1935 with serial of 77196. Thanks for clearing that up, I just found another chart that says between 1954-1955

The serial numbers started over at 1,000,000 in 1954.
