Mark 1 Long E GMT prices

Have i been asleep for a while.....i feel like the GMT prices have hit an accelerator recently.....

I am in the market for a late 60's unpolished gmt.....no box or papers needed.......what kind of pain am i looking at? Matt dial....red back insert....no bracelet. Just the head.

Am i looking north of 12k usd at this point? Crazy.....

For a perfect - box and papers - with splendid Fuchsia fat font - maybe.

Seen some nice ones realistically well below that.

Lucky for you, long E's are not all that rare, relatively speaking. Not so lucky for you, 1675 prices have made a massive leap along with most other vintage Rolex. I can't recall the last time I saw an unpolished 1675 with great dial/hands for sale, but it would not surprise me at all if a watch like that hit the market at 12k.

Makes we long for the days when I found this MKII at a fraction of that price.

I know for a fact that these are selling for 13k+ right now. And that's without box or papers.

I think your info is a little old. Full set fuchsia unpolished would be more without question. There is a massive premium on the fuchsias these days.

I would think retail could be around 12 for a nice, crisp 1675 MK1, and with bracelet no question.

Also, here is watchrecon.com https://www.watchrecon.com/?query=1675+gmt

Dang. Never thought I would see the day people willing to pay more for 1675 than 5513. Ah!!! The good old days.

I blame it on the autoconnect.

The sub is still higher if similar condition and era.

Mark 1 Long E GMT prices

I've been away for awhile from the vintage market, it's too inflated right now. But looking at prices recently, it does seem 1675 has outpaced 5513.

The market is full of poorly put together old parts with boxes and 'papers' to distract from the quality of the watch itself. Many have badly corroded hands or dials that are called various names to give them cachet. I jumped on mine as soon as I saw it because of the quality of the dial, hands and case. It came with no paperwork but a visit to RSC and it now has paperwork. Value? Whatever someone is willing to pay.

Where have you been? Not even close for nice box and papers sets. Nice fuchsias are selling for $4,000 plus....and that's just for the insert.

Price is predicated on the condition and originality of the watch. You can find them for under $10,000 but don't expect anything stellar.

By the way, what happened to your Mark I GMT?

How much is a new Gmt $7,000? So there is the cause of all the price jumps. Many rather have a 1675 than a new gmt. And the supply is lower on the vintage

I blame it on the autoconnect.
