TT DJ 16013 - Takes a Licking and Keeps on Ticking . . . JUST GOT BACK FROM RSC!

[Oops, I posted this under Vintage Discussion in error, it was supposed to be here] Earlier today I received my TT DJ 16013 back from the RSC in Lititz, PA. Here is a link to the thread regarding my history with the watch and the RSC estimate of work needed: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=848212

They did a great job on the watch, it is beautiful! Seeing and handling the new case with its sharp clean edges makes me realized how much the old case had been polished over the years. Just like when I received the watch back from the same RSC back in 2009, it looks new. Then again why shouldn't it? The only original part that shows is the bezel. Of course, contained within the new case is the original heart and soul of the watch, the 3035 movement.

Here are some photos taken earlier today, note the watch now officially has a new serial number which is on the new case and the RSC 2 year Guarantee.

Glad to see you had a good experience with RSC, I have my TT DJ 16013 at service right now as well! I dropped it off about a month ago. Cant wait to see how it comes back.

You probably have another month to go. From day I dropped it off to the day I got the call and picked it up was exactly two months and one day.

Yeah, back in the mid 70s to mid 80s I took Rolex at their word, buy a great watch for a lifetime. Pick one you love, buy it, wear it every day, or close to it, service it, and die with your boots on . . . and the Rolex.
