44mm Submersible is back!

Have seen these photos this evening! Doesn’t affect me (and my new 42mm submersible) really as 42mm is the biggest I can go- but I think lots of people will be happy.

I can just make out ‘Retail release May 2022’ on the bottom of some of the photos.

I spoke to my AD who said this was a bad leak and shouldn’t have been seen.

I owned a PAM24 it's 44mm, I couldn't wear it daily. I had it less then a year. However, if the new overall thickness and proportions were designed with small-mid size wrists in mind, this could work. We do have a PAM1070 in gold/carbo which is 44mm. The case back is noticeably flatter. I'm excited to see how these look in the flesh.

Panerai is going backwards with their movements. They still look good though.

I saw an esteel Luminor in December when getting my 388 back from service and I liked the colors but unsure if they were these references.

Wonder why they don't mention the cal# number but only say 3 Day Auto.

what's the deal with those rubberized crown models? is it just purely aesthetic or is there some functional value to use this material to seal the case?

Oh, I hadn’t noticed that…..

Other than something to replace at service (more money for PSC), I don’t see the point…. But maybe there is one?

The P.9010 calibre is not backwards.

it's pure aesthetic imo, don't think the rubber crown can last through the 8 years warranty period. they come up with polished ceramic bezel insert this time, have to try it on to see if it goes well with rubber straps though.

I think they are most likely without display case backs, this is certainly going backward.

I've missed the 44mm divers, hopeful this leak is legit and they return. Will be very interested to see what the polished ceramic looks like vs the matte finish.

I agree with you,if it’s anything like the 44mm gold tech it has the the p900. Which is a shame. 30000 for a generic movement. I was excited about this so much so I was looking at the 44 mm on the Panerai website and low and behold p900.

X2. Yea, a 44mm Carbotech Submersible is a big deal, especially if they keep its case thickness down like my Pam661.

One odd choice is the other models with a rubberized crown?? Not a great idea and wasn’t durable when AP tried it. Carbotech crown would have been ideal as the teeth are very sharp and the surface would never wear against the crown cam lock.

These are now on the Panerai website. Still not available for sell though...apparently. I'd like to know the case thickness.

Don’t they all contain the P900 movement though? No thanks Panerai…
