Love my LV. The hulk was always too green for my liking, but the Cermit is just enough color

I bought a M LV in 2009, and wore it all the time, traded it for a hulk, sold the hulk, ended up getting another, and that one didn’t last long either, just never took with me…

Got my 12 series LV a couple of weeks ago (from my AD). and love the proportions. It (like others have said) just pops with the flash of green!

Its a bit flashier but not as extreme green as the original Hulk which I also owned. The new LV seems like a direct lineage from the ordinal 5 digit anniversary LV model.

I had both 5 digit subs LN and LV, sold the LN long time ago and kept the LV. I recently picked up the 126610LN because its case proportions are perfect and it has the maxi dial charm of the 5 digit LV. I used to have the hulk back when it wasn’t popular and cheap. The green dial was beautiful, but the ceramic green bezel didn’t work for me, so I sold it. Is your 12 series LV bezel the same color tone as the hulk, or does it have a different tint and more pop that doesn’t make it feel like a fad like the hulk did?

LV is nice. I have owned and sold 3 LNs. I get bored and can't justify keeping an overpriced Rolex amongst a fleet of black divers. LV has that extra pop and it makes a good compliment to the BLRO.

I get that. I just sold my SD43 because after awhile it was too bloated and the red lettering wasn’t bold enough to stand out, and the Sd4k didn’t feel right. The 126610 is the sweet spot. I keep at least one all black diver. The 5 digit GMT is the perfect color switch up with all bezel inserts. I was debating between the new LV, the Datejust 41 with either green or blue motif dial, or an Omega Speedy Tuesday with the reverse panda dial. What do you think?

I have owned the Kermit, Hulk and Cermit. I prefer the 12 version over all of them but that Hulk dial is special but damn that was a lot of green!

Don’t switch out a black bezel for green. That’s a “Frankenstein” watch. A big no-no.
Probably fair to say there are more pictures of LVs littering the internet (unfortunately), but a little bit of a rash over generalization don’t you think?

DJ41 is a great watch. Wears about like a Daytona. Sleek and contoured.

Thread turns one year old tomorrow.

I wonder what the OP did?

My first Rolex was a 116610LN. I sold it after acquiring the 126610LV. No regress at all. If going modern, the LV is the way to go. Gorgeous watch and the bezel changes so much in different lighting. In low lighting it looks like a faded charcoal. Like a ghost bezel. Only very green in direct sunlight.
