Vintage Ladies Cocktail - odd numbers. Logo not in 12 position.

I recently inherited this lovely watch from my grandmother. It's engraved, and most likely was given to her by her husband, so between 1928 and 1953. It says Rolex, but the logo is different from all the pictures I see on the forums, and I can't find a guide of women's cocktail watches. Is this a real rolex? What decade most likely? How does it open? No visible means of access from the back.

Many jewelers made or imported their own cases and movements separately, then put them together for sale in their own shop.

Ladies cocktail watches from the early years can be almost impossible to track down, although sometime internal markings can be researched.

If the case is solid in the back, then the bezel comes off and the movement is removed through the front. Unlikely that there is any water resistance to these, so be careful with it. Hallmark stamps, also inside, may tell you if it is cold or sterling, etc.

Like Larry said, there are so many variants that we won’t be able to say more than, “get it to a local watchmaker for a peek inside”.

The winding crown looks to be a generic replacement. Rolex ladies cocktail watches usually had a thinner profile and a larger diameter crown.

But the movement inside will be engraved with Rolex markings if it is genuine.

Looks real.
Appears to be solid gold with diamond bezel.
I would say lat 40s, due to the sub second hand.

These are usually 2 piece cases with the seam in the center.
And just needs a thin knife or box cutter to apply leverage and open.
