Thoughts on Jules Audemars
What do you guys think of this? Always knew about these models but this IG post made me really want one. They look stunning and perfect for my bigger wrist vs the more dainty and small calatravas.

IMO, better places to be in the AP lineup, I’d save the money and buy a JLC with the same aesthetic design.

For that style I'd go with a ALS Saxonia Thin

I'd buy the code before I bought the Jules. Forget AP when it comes to watches like this. They do sport watches well. Go look to patek instead for the classic style or journe.

Nice piece, but if it didn't say AP on it, would you still like it as much? It looks a bit generic to my eye, and I prefer ALS and VC in this category of timepieces. Like you, I'm not a big fan of Calatravas for a variety of reasons.

obviously have not tried the Jules A. on but from the looks of it it might fit way better than the calatrava on my 8 inch wrist.
ALS is a good idea, I never tried the Saxonia on before but looking at grey market prices I seen them trading between 10k-18k... that's significantly below ALS, no? |

Ok time to check out the 40mm Saxonia I guess. Still really like the Jules Audemars though, surprised about the luke warm reception here but I guess that's not what AP is known for...

Much better to go the Lange route especially in 40mm size due to your wrist. From a value standpoint they couldn't even give the Jules Audemars away (boutiques, ADs, and Greys) until recently, sorry to say, I love the movement but the face is a bit plain. I passed on a very aggressive offer once for the WG/White variation that the seller was trying for like years to unload.

In my opinion the ALS (especially Saxonia with Moonphase) sure are beautiful but can't get them around 10k. |
