Tudor tourneau bucherer edition thoughts

Saw this online. , what’s the forum think about this? Looks similar to European edition couple years ago. I am on the fence about bronze.

I like it quite a bit on the blue and gold strap.

Still kinda on the fence on bronze watches as well. They look great when new, and many seem to like the patina the case develops, but I’m really not sure about it over the long term. I’m ok with some parts of a watch developing patina, but having a lot of bronze lamps and and stuff around the house as a kid, I’m not sure I would like that effect on a watch.

Perhaps it's just the photos, but I think both of those straps make the watch look cheap.

A watch that measures 43mm and is 14.7mm (!!) thick is so 2019.

Now if they offered it in BB 58 size...

it's exactly the same watch LOL. FYI tourneau has been acquired by bucherer...

They extended the limit of a limited edition

If it was the size of a BB58 I'd buy one.

Yep. Looks exactly like the bucherer edition. Not sure movement is different but case size same etc. 43mm.

Leather strap lighter color on tourneau version.

Punt for me. Color, size, and the nato/leather straps included aren’t my cup of tea.

I greatly enjoy my Bronze Divers watch (Non-Tudor). But it is not my every day watch, it is the watch I wear surfing, sailing, snorkeling, Beach-combing and fishing. The patina enhances the nautical feel, and it has gotten many more complements than my 16800. If you have a connection to the sea, it's a fun watch to have. If you are a long distance runner in the high elevations 1000 miles from the sea, weird and green may not be a concept you embrace.
I would not pay Tudor prices for a watch that is no better than others available under $1k

I like the watch and have owned it several times. Now that it is available in the US I will probably buy one again at the right price.

Meh... I was hoping that it was going to be in the BB58 size instead of 43 MM, and on a bracelet, the straps just don't do anything for me.

I love it but on the blue strap. I've been interested in a bronze watch for a while and now I'm just in the Tudor club it's on my short list

Looks cool, but I don't think I need it in my collection.

I went gaga for bronze when the Panerai 382 came out, it wasn’t the first but pretty much ignited the craze circa 2011. I was up to six bronze watches at one time and still have three in the box.
The main reason I’ve shied away from the Tudors is their choice of aluminum-bronze versus the more common CuSn8 alloy. The latter has spectacular variations of patina, the former just gets darker mostly. That said if the blue dial version had been more readily available when it came out I would have had one then. Blue>Grey>Brown in my mind. I still think it’s very pretty and predict an early run on them in the North American market but I will just admire them from afar.

I enjoy the Tudor BB Bronze as a pure outdoors watch. I also wish that Tudor would bring more of their BB variants to the 58 frame - I think the bronze and the S&G would be great on the slimmer case.
