Keep the DD. That is one of the most beautiful watches Rolex has ever made in my opinion.

I'd keep the DD but I'm biased as the skydweller is too large for my wrist :D

I much prefer the olive dial DD between those two. Very classy.

If I am unsure of something I generally don't do it. If you don't need to sell then hold on till you are sure. They are both killer pieces BTW :)

Thank you everyone. I did expect more votes for the Sky but it turns out overwhelming in favor of the DD. I have my preference which is unchanged but after this I think my best bet would be to hold on to both first until new factors come into consideration.

I would keep both. But DD more classic ans it’s very hard to get. I have the YG DD and a yG SkyD and both white dial and they are great and different.

I have the olive green dial WG DD. the olive is same as in the RG when side to side compared which I did.

Don’t seek if you don’t need the $

Thank you. The WG is a stunning piece as well.

If you can keep both do it. If not keep the SkyD.

I've owned both of them as well and I sold the Olive DD40 and kept the Chocolate DD40. Still got the RG SkyD and the YG DD40

Switch both for RG DD with chocolate dial?

Then TT Sea-Dweller and blue SS Sky-Dweller.

All metals covered.

I'd rather sell the SkyD than the DD. But it's your decision. You said SkyD became your favorite. So if you have to, sell the DD.

I think you will regret selling your RG DD sometime down the road. It’s one of the most stunning DDs in production IMO. Nothing wrong with two RG pieces in the collection, be patient and save up (especially since you don’t know what you want yet).

OP, if I was lucky enough to be in your position, I would keep the DD for sure, 100%. I honestly still haven't convinced myself that the SkyD line will evolve to classic Rolex status in 30-40 years like the Sub/GMT/DJ/DD lines have.

Agree. For variety since your current favorite is the RG SKyD, you may want to consider trading your DD to WG olive dial.

Even if the outcome of the poll will be 90 - 10, the only thing that matters is what you prefer.
Among the 4 precious materials that Rolex offers, the everose is the last in my ranking, nevertheless the DD RG Olive Green dial is an outstanding watch.

I don't think there is anything wrong with having 2 RG watches in a collection. I've had a few YG pieces but they are gone now. Still have the DD RG olive dial. I'd keep both.

I would let the SKy-Dweller go. The piece was just far to big and heavy in my opinion,

I’d also flip the SD and keep the DD.

Don’t think that RG DD40 olive is one you want to sell right now. So agree with others.

I've got a PM Skydweller (rose gold) and I could definitely see a PM Day Date in my future. I'd probably go Yellow gold though. I see what you're saying, those 2 RG watches look too similar.

Just doing my civic duty by voting and I'm in the minority, but I much prefer the SkyD with chocolate dial. Just my preference and you can't go wrong either way.

If I had to let one of those go it'd probably be the sky dweller. That olive dial against that rose gold case is just stunning.

I am in the minority here with a vote to keep the Sky. A very substantial watch, discontinued with imho the best dial configuration among the Sky models ever made.

There'll always be regrets if you let either of them go. And it's not really a big deal if you have both in your collection.

I say if money isn't an issue, you keep both and add whatever you wish to the collection.
