Value of this Bubbleback?

Hey guys

Looking at this Bubbleback for sale and was curious of its current value so I can make a reasonable offer

Also, will the value on this depreciate with time? Or will I be able to make my $ back if I decide to sell it a few years down the road

Regards

Andre

Thank you.

Reputable seller from a Canadian Collector forum.

All original. Just fully serviced last month. He’s asking $3200 Canadian which is about $2600USD

I feel the price is high but on the other hand if you like it at that level, Move forward.

Is $2400USD fair or still too high?

Dial has been refinished in the past and is not original.

I'd suggest a realistic price would be around US$2,000...

Thank you!... I thought the dial was redone, but did not want to voice that opion. Without a dial, this watch is a case with a movement plus a crown - $1,500

Seller confirms that dial is original. The patina on the dial is from where the hands sat inactive for decades

I agree with Mike

Printing does not look original esp the " self winding chronometer"
Obviously impossible to be 100% sure with out seeing watch in person but I am ambilvalent about the dial

there are marks on the dial from luminous material in the hands

Keep in mind that dial printing from this era was not crisp and sharp like it is today.

It's not a very good photo. I'm with Julian on this.

Without having it in hand...it would be hard to tell. It's not freshly done for sure...

In the late 40's early 50's...at least one of the suppliers was doing some pretty marginal stuff.

I'd have to have that one off the watch to give any more opinion. An in focus photo would help.
