26574ST - Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Blue Dial 41 mm

Hi everyone,

I am offered the perpetual calendar from my AD. It obviously is a stunning piece surely. Do you guys think it is really hard to be offered this piece? Should I be pulling the trigger for 110k list price?

For sure. QP should be harder this year due to the Jm version. When I first inquired about this piece back in 20, seems doable as a first piece with some convincing. Then I guess I wasn’t convincing enough lol. Still waiting for this myself.

the blue dial? that piece is going below retail in the Grey at the moment take this into consideration.

White dials going for as low as $86k Grey and Blue Dials $96k Grey

it’s an amazing piece for sure I have a QP and love it. Very sexy

If this is purely a financial decision, no.
If you love the piece, absolutely.
In the end, they just discontinued the 5134 movement (the JM is the last), so this model as it stands will also be discontinued. If you saw the evolution of the Jumbo for the 50th, they upgraded the movement and integrated changes to the case design. Taking a total guess that they would do the same with the PC for the 150th. It would be a good reason to let your dealer know you would like to pass to wait for the anticipated 150th anniversary versions..

Agreed. I've seen a few around 100, but not below, and they were many years old and not in the cleanest condition. Also most people here have no idea how to find those elusive deals

There was actually one that got sold pretty quickly last week.
It was around 92K CHF and I even double check it is the .03 reference. 2023 year.
By the time I reached out to the dealer, it was sold. This was in Chrono24.

I assume you have history with AP otherwise they wouldn't offer PC as first or second piece. If you like the complication and wish to continue path with relationship I say don't worry current market situation rather get it. Its complicated. :-)

The cheapest on chrono is still for sale at €113K

It’s 2022.

Never been cheaper.

Also 2022's would have had the benefit of the c.20k cheaper pricing so the ones people see for £80-90k are still above the list paid of around £70k at the time.

2023 models £100 and up

I am guessing the price increase was in anticipation of the impending inhouse movement. Probably didn't want a big jump for that release and didn't know how the market would be next year.

I would absolutely pull the trigger.

I think the steel works for the RO because it was designed to be in steel. JMHO

I'd pay 110k for it if it had 50m+ WR instead of barely being splash proof

Never said it doesn’t work. I personally like the watch a lot! However that been said I wouldn’t spend that amount of $$$ for a steel watch.
When I did put my name down for it it was below 80k, that I could have pay for this watch (even if I thought it was already a bit over priced) today I wouldn’t pay that kind of money for that kind of watch…

And yes this is a watch that trade in the 90k today on the grey market (blue dial full set). Someone offered me one in January and even at that price he couldn’t sell it anyway that’s another story.

This doesn’t matter anymore but I bought one for 130, 50k over at the time and thought I was nuts. Sold it back to the same dealer a year later for 180! Wore it everyday and it was amazing. Never thought I would sell it but glad I did. I’ve never made money on any other watch though haha.

Is it harder or easier to be allocated the 26574st compared to the jumbo? I received an offer from the SA, which I didn't request, but I am still waiting for the jumbo. I rejected the offer, but I'm not sure if it's a hint that my jumbo route is far

For those who have been offered the 26574st, how many watches had you previously purchased before receiving the offer? This is my 4th watches

I wonder if they will be able to make the next generation more water resistant...I am so interested to see if they can do all the adjustments for setting via a multi-position crown, or if they will add a button to the side...or still have the toothpick pushers, but maybe less of them. Or the center of the crown could be a pusher (used for split second on RD#4). Or only two holes on the crown side would be an improvement. Get to 50M like the RO Chrono

I always through the Blancpain pushers under the lugs were badass.

I personally would guess the Jumbo is harder to get an allocation. Based on her recent interviews, it sounds like AP wants to allocate complications to new clients. The jumbo is cheaper, easier for people to buy, and more desirable. The question is...do they make more than 2,000 QPs per year.

One could argue that you answered your own question... Jumbo production is almost certainly larger than for the QPs, but the difference in demand for a $35k vs a $110k watch probably more than makes up for that, even if both are iconic.
