Ceramic upgrade

Looks like the FC bez was not really fit for purpose, now that it's been tested in the wild. I really think It would have been a great gesture if AP had offered this upgrade to owners at cost price. That said however I would do as you did and pay for the upgrade as it looks great.

Amazing!!!!

Random question for GP owners as I am contemplating on buying one myself.

Do you guys have trouble pulling off that watch with formal attire like a dress shirt or even a suit?
My concern is that it would only look good with very casual attire such as a tshirt and jeans.

The bezel certainly makes it a bit easier to pull off, but it's obviously not your typical dress watch. My biggest problem is getting it to fit underneath dress shirt sleeves and a suit sleeve on top of it. Thankfully I rarely have to wear suits.

Looks awesome...the FC bezel would make that a no go for me -not a fan of the look, and afraid to bang it up - but that ceramic upgrade takes care of any problems I had with that watch. Nice!

It's a no brainer...get the ceramic. It looks better and is bomb proof.

You know, I think AP charged a very steep price for the work. However, I think you will get it back if not more if you decide to resell or trade because you my friend are the proud owner of a uniquely awesome AP. I also agree that the watch looks better and will function better with the ceramic bezel. Well done and even with the steep pricing, I believe it was a sound investment both financially and also in your enjoyment of an awesome piece.

The best case mod available!
Part of me wishes I held out longer and got a (used) Grand Prix. I think they have a really high chance of retaining/increasing in value over time.
