I think you are right. The ask in the market might be double the range indicated in the article.

Salmon dial is amazing though.

Pricing can't be much higher regardless of the rarity of this watch. The pricing was given based on results at auction, listings on different for sale ads and price paid by collectors in the pre-owned market.
