wow, I just mentioned to a few friends that I really like their Centre Seconds. I really don't care for that though. It looks like Panerai numerals and markers, Patek Dial, Rolex Bezel, Genta Case, Hublot Screws, and more brands I don't know. The three different blues don't work together, the numbers on the bezel clash with the 12, 3 and 9 of the dial. The hands looks weird. It's like they were trying to make this look terrible.

It's kind of a nightmarish blob of 6-10 different brands. Yeah I don't like it.

When you want every brand and can only get one. That does not look good.

I think this was a spoof. I saw it last night with a very crazy video making fun of the watch industry. They have now deleted everything. Pretty interesting tactic right before SIHH.

At first it seemed like a little joke, but the CEO's statement from that Hodinkee link makes it sound like plain old sour grapes. Just because your company doesn't have any iconic design elements, storied history, or pay as much for advertising or brand ambassadors doesn't make your brand more pure. To be honest, that statement really turns me off.

Yes I know, Moser had the link and pictures also. The above video is from ABLOGTOWATCH. Everything's a little crazy don't you think? If this was real they would get sued to the point of going out of business.

At least they could have represented with a nice Fat Font.

It's clearly a tongue in cheek statement to me.

Their Apple watch spoof was similar in design intent.

Not for me, I think it's kind of cool to have the resources to pull something like that off though.

Not a fan at all. Looks like a Walmart store copy trying to imitate luxury watch brands.

Seems like a decent marketing ploy to me. Free publicity. In fact as it’s a one-of a-kind and rich people will buy all sorts of shit as long as it’s unique, they might even make a profit on their small piece of advertising.

I see something else they didn't mention in the article. H. Moser & Cie branded short as HMC Schaffhausen on the dial in similar lettering and postioning like IWC Schaffhausen does on their dials.

And Breguet style hour and minute markers.

It is obviously watch industry satire along the same lines as the also satirical Apple and Swiss Cheese watches they have created leading up to SIHH in the past. For my part, I found it amusing. And refreshing. If you look at these other "releases," there is a method to the madness--they are not just trolling or pouting about "sour grapes." For instance, the H. Moser Swiss Cheese watch was apparently in response to new Swiss regulations about the "swissness" of watches, the "apple" watch was highlighting what is obviously one of the biggest "threats" to the mechanical watch industry since the quartz days. That this particilar "homage" to some iconic, traditional design elements may be making a statement that the pace of the industry is in flux, and much like the recent post by Ariel Adams suggests, that new, more contemporary "clothes" on traditional mechanical watches may be desirable to move the industry forward.

Or it could just be a hideous watch. What do I know?

and Cartier crown...

In the video they diss Omega and TAG in Hollywood star part, on Hublot and TAG in Artist part, mostly on Hublot in sport star and on almost whole industry in influencer part...

Moser left out A. Lange. Should've put a big date at 12 o'clock.

From the article:

“The watch will be auctioned after the 2018 SIHH, and proceeds will be donated to the Fondation pour la Culture Horlogère Suisse, to "support apprenticeships in the watchmaking professions and to safeguard expertise in the related watchmaking arts and crafts."

When I saw the picture, I thought it was an April Fool's joke. Although I enjoy humor, satire and irony, this seems more like jealousy and sour grapes. Glad they only made one. I think the Paul Newman record is safe.
